성인의 이개의 크기의 85%는 생후 3~4세에 다 이루어진다.
성인의 이개의 넓이의 크기는 남아가 7세가 될 때, 여아가 6세 될 때 거의 100% 이루어진다.
성인의 이개의 길이는 남아가 13~15세가 될 때, 여아가 12~146세 될 때 거의 100% 이루어진다.
이개의 넓이가 이개의 길이의 약 반 정도 되고,
귀의 높이는 같은 쪽에 있는 안구 외변에서 그쪽 외이도 입구와 같고,
귀의 횡선 축에서 20도 정도 뒤로 위치한 귀는 미적으로 가장 아름답게 보이는 이개이다.
성인의 이개의 크기의 85%는 생후 3~4세에 다 이루어진다.

85% of the size of auricles in adults is achieved by the age of 3 to 4 years.
